Studio 3 and Folded Orebody Data

Folded orebodies present their own unique complications when it comes to statistics (both classical & geostatistics) and grade estimation.

Traditional analysis uses straight line distances calculated from the East, North and Elevation coordinates of the data. In folded structures this is often wrong since you should use the true geological distances "down dip", "along strike" and "across strike".
